Summary | 2003

23 DEC 2003: Sent as a temporary Christmas card, Pyro Podolak contributed a nice shot of a place he is now leaving - Kunsan, Korea.

14 DEC 2003: Although nothing spectacular, I've added two sketches that were entertained as ideas for this year's card.

18 OCT 2003: New addition to Links, The Dryden Gallery at the Dryden Flight Research Center has a most impressive collection of photos, movies and graphics. They are primarily aviation related, but definitely worth the look. The site will also be listed in the Links. Take a look...

15 OCT 2003: Musket Media now listed at Google™

09 SEP 2003: New Addition to the Links...Louis Cantillo is a photographer and his website offers an awesome collection of landscapes, abstracts, doors and windows. The story here is somewhat different. I don't actually know Louis Cantillo, but met his mother on a flight out of Arizona. We began chatting and family, flying and art were some of the topics. She had some samples of his recent work which were quite impressive. Since Louis' photographs are definitely worth seeing and film is a powerful medium, I wanted to get him linked. His website is time well spent and his shots are for sale.

14 AUG 2003: New addition to "Other Artists" / Links...Lindsay Smith is a graphic artist and designer. Recently introduced to her work, it was obvious she fits right in at musketmedia. First and foremost, she's an artist. Second, she turns many of her creations into products such as Christmas cards. You can read more in Other Artists or jump right to her work on her own website. She will have a permanent place in the Links.

AUG 2003: Visited the Bodensee (Lake Constance) which had some great sites and scenery. Stumbled across one of the coolest things I've seen. A butterfly atrium. It's No. 19 on this map and is called the Schmetterlingshaus. It was cool to walk around and have butterflies land on you with no fear. It's located on Insel Mainau. Another good place to visit was the Zepplin Museum [map].

21 JUL 2003: Addition to "Other Artists" gallery. Recently having an exhibit of their art in Nebraska, Julie and Daryl Wills are obviously skilled with their respective media.

06 JUN 2003: Musket Media now Listed at altavista™.

29 APR 2003: Links Page added. Every site has links and sometimes it seems overkill. However, Musket Media has added to the cyber chain with a new Links page. If you never go back or use it again, it’s understood, but at least check out the visual thesaurus – it’s about halfway down the Ts.

28 APR 2003: New Logo for a new site...when my site was “MusketFlare”, the logo made sense. With a new name, however, it didn’t really fit. A new mark has been made to associate with Musket Media...see more.

18 APR 2003: Marco Lade and Artisan Woods added to Other Artists. My brother’s work was mentioned and now it’s here. View his section of the Other Artists gallery to see some of the most impressive woodworking you’ll ever see.

04 APR 2003: Other Artists Gallery added. I know a few artists personally and have been lucky enough to get some of their work. Showing their work is a new endeavor that I hope gathers momentum. The Other Artists section of the Galleries should be a hit with the paintings of C Podolak.

04 APR 2003: “Miscellany” added to the galleries. As work was being added, some of it didn’t fit in the existing galleries. Miscellany was created to give them a home. It’s just as the name says – a mixture of various things, and makes a strong debut with sixteen paintings and projects.

03 APR 2003: Musket Media gets a new look. For about three long months, Musket Media was online, but very stagnant. Not only does the site look different, there is much more to look at. All the galleries have been greatly enhanced. Of note, the Sketches (General and Evolved) are again active and the Lookback section of About MM is finally open.
