Arizona Venice
2005, watercolor and pencil
So what's the deal with this rather European building in the Arizona desert? Nothing really, just added paint to an existing sketch. When I was painting the frogs and landscapes I came across this in my sketchbook. Seemed like a good thing to paint at the time since most of the work was already done. This building (while not exactly accurate) sits in Venice directly across from the train station. It is in such contrast to the surrounding buildings I wanted to capture it.
