Doreen took me to Checkpoint Charlie (site 2)and the museum associated with it. It was so cool that she took me since she lived behind the wall for 13 years. Not as impressive but also good timing, after we visited the museum closed. It had awesome examples of how people tried to get across the border. Here's a postcard Doreen sent me:
