Ireland

Doreen and I made a quick trip to Ireland over the 4th of July weekend which was also a great way to celebrate Kätzchen's birthday. We saw some awesome things from parks, to castles, to the landscape (which was all I imagined it would be).One cool place was the Powerscourt House and Gardens on the Powerscourt Estate. The entire place was immaculate and of all places, there was also a Japanese garden.

We also saw the Kilkenny Castle. There are castles all over Europe, but this one in particular had a reading room, picture gallery wing, and bedroom (or blue) corridor that made memorable impressions.

We also saw the Ballybur Castle. I liked how it stood out in the middle of nothing. However, when you're getting close, it's hidden by trees. It's a good thing Doreen found it - she's good at finding things.
