After falling in love with it in 1991-92, I finally saw Pink Floyd's the Wall. Sadly, because Gilmour and Waters are like divorcees, it's actually just Roger Waters, The Wall Live. Would I have liked to see it when it was genuine Pink Floyd? Absolutely! But it was still a great show. I saw Floyd before (the Division Bell) which was awesome, and it set my expectations very high. And, overall, the Wall Live meet them. Waters can sing amazingly and in the Floyd standard, the visuals were incredible! And, I went with three lovely ladies - great company.
My company - great company.
The ticket - c'est obligatoire!
I have to say, I was surprised but they actually let the pig descend into the crowd! And the pig deflated into the hands of hundreds. That was cool. Of the right is a handout for a contest to meet Roger Waters. I didn't win. In normal fashion, the visuals were amazing and the wall was an incredible "screen". Also, Floyd cares about the visual impact so there was only one large tower (for sound, lights, etc) and it was pretty far away from the stage. It was really something to see and I'm super glad I went. I was even happier when Waters said it might never happen again. Paris was the end of the tour and they're getting kind of old. Awesome!
