Disneyland! Finally made it to Disneyland Paris. It's not all about roller coasters, but there were some good ones. I went with a classmate and other than the Pirates of the Caribbean, that's all we visited and it was great. We needed stocking hats and scarfs (and gloves) but it was perfect. The longest wait was the first ride, and the lines only got shorter! I think the only better time to go would be during the week. That might be the next target.
Obligatoire, my ticket
On the way to Pirates of the Caribbean, I took this picture of a skull rock (left). Cool. And of course, the Disney Castle. It's amazing and cool that with enough funds you can create whatever you want. And if the environment is good enough, you don't even have to pay for ducks.
I had to take these pictures...space mountain from a distance and the centerpiece (below). I like how this stuff was cool and "futuristic" in the days of Disneyland (the 1950s) and it still looks cool today. I think it'd be cool to have something like this in your front yard.
The last ride we took, was the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in the Disney Studios (it's a different park but right next door and usually you can get tickets for both at a discount). First of all, it is a great example of the amount of work that goes into a park like this. Look at the lobby of the "ride" (on the left) and you can see it's a full up production. And the hotel exterior on the right shows the extend of the work on a larger scale. I find it most impressive.
Aside from the construction itself, the ride was awesome! I actually couldn't stop laughing. I think what made me laugh is the fact that you can't stop your body from reacting to the drop. And it wasn't just once, it went up and down several times. It was awesome. I was crying at the end of the ride.
