Our school attended a ceremony at the cemetery and Douaumont Ossuary (their site) to honor those lost in the battlefields of Verdun. The ceremony is moving and the ossuary was quite impressive! And we even had a flyby with two Rafales! Very nice.
This is a panoramic of the building and you can see it's quite imposing. You can look in the little windows right above the ground and see piles and piles of bones. A lot of people died there.

Someone caught a great picture of the flyby before the ceremony. This was a Mirage 2000 and he was solo. Rumor was it was the husband of a classmate which was cool. He flew by twice!
