Traveled to Sendai Japan [Wiki or another site] in December 2007 for a work-related exercise. Traveled with great people and since we lived off base, we had an awesome time. We even visited Sendai's Sapporo Beer Garden. If you haven't been to a Sapporo Beer Garden (the link is to the original, but the idea is similar in other locations), it's definitely worth the visit. This was a great trip and Sendai's city center was all decked out for Christmas.
