Les Invalides : 2013-11

I had already visited Les Invalides (first trip), but we took another trip during my second school here in Paris. It's a cool place and we actually saw some different stuff this time which is always nice.

We saw the same room with armor, muskets and other weapons. But this time I took a couple shots. On the left, a close of up just one rifle with amazing handiwork. On the right, always a favorite of mine, a samurai's armor. They're some cool warriors.

This was a first (didn't see it last time). It's one of the two chapels inside the building - the Cathedral of Saint-Louis Des Invalides. I wanted to take a panoramic, but the lighting wasn't that great.

Above are two shots just near/under the largest dome (there are actually two). The left picture isn't that clear (again, the lighting wasn't that great and les Invalides is surprisingly dark if there isn't much sunshine - kinda gloomy actually). On the right is just one of several massive stained glass windows. They are impressive to say the least.

I had to take a couple shots of this and accent them a little to focus on the detail. This is a model of the building which sits just under the dome - the dome shown in these shots. Can't say much about the model except that it's very well done. I liked how these shots turned out.
