I visited my parents (twice) as I was in transition between France and my next job. And as I was house hunting. I took a few pics as I spent quite a few days in Nebraska and Colorado.
A couple nice panoramic shots of my parent's house (the backyard). They really did some great work with this place. The brick wall is great. I'm spoiled when it comes to fences - and you can see why.
A bird house (also in my parent's backyard) which is abandoned and suffered hail damage (as did my truck). On the right, a 3rd of July BBQ by the river. The food and friends were great!
How cool is this? These four little baby barn swallows.packed in their nest. They're waiting for food. If not, they actually hide and turn around. And they don't scream for food like most birds. They just wait. Pretty cute if I say so myself. On the right, out shooting M-1s with my dad. He's a good shot.
An artsy shot of some hail. I apparently missed a huge hail storm just before I arrived and then there was another one right after I left. It's good - no one needs to see that. I love the trains that cross Nebraska and this was the last pic I took as I waited for one as I left my parents.
Here are some pics of the house I finally chose...
The front (left). Don't really like the split door garage. Note to self for future purchases. On the right, the living room. I like the light.
Yes, the kitchen has wallpaper and the cabinets are from the 80s. I'll get over it. The master bath is nicely redone but the vanity wasn't raised. It's kinda weird, but I think it'll be a nice house.
