I was in a course in Norfolk VA and one weekend I drove to DC to visit a friend. We had a great lunch (first time I ate at the Good Stuff Eatery) and also visited the National Gallery of Art (NGA). I forgot all those places are free - how awesome is that?
Some of my favorites were:
(Left) Girl in Red by Edgar Degas
(Right) Rouen Cathedral, West Façade, Sunlight by Claude Monet
I posted this because I like it, but I had also seen some of McCollum's work in France.
The building itself is pretty cool. There was this neat waterfall which fell onto a glass wall. It also made for some nice pics...
The water fell down a rough concrete surface which made the funky bubbling effect.
We also took this pretty retro and spacey walkway...
This was a great afternoon and I definitely recommend visiting the NGA.
