I went to Qatar for a conference and there was a visitor in my room. I'd only seen a lizard a couple times in Kuwait so it was good to see another one. This one was about the same color as the tile. The one I'd seen in Kuwait was more brown/sand. This guy was so skinny he was easy to catch and his head and eyes looked supersized.
I have zero problems with lizards. It makes me cringe with people call them geckos (or vice versa). They are NOT the same. Geckos make more noise (which is fine) but also poop everywhere. In the future, if you're wondering whether you're looking at a lizard or gecko, lizards have fingers and more distinct fingernails (claws). Geckos have fat, short fingers (pads). Lizards can't walk on ceilings nearly as well as geckos (if at all).
