This is my ticket to the Musée Air + Espace which was one of our SILF trips. It was pretty good museum - I wouldn't say great, but it was good. They have airplanes on display and those displayed are well kept, but there was a Rafale sitting on the tarmac that we couldn't see. I thought that was a little strange.
My favorite things were actually a couple of paintings - in the room about the history of hot air balloons and other dirigibles.
Sadly, I didn't record both artists...I might have to revisit. I tend to like darker paintings - which they both were - and one was really close to home. La lune au-dessus du Champ de Mars, shows the moon (which is always cool) and the École de Guerre (where I work). The moon resting in the Champ de Mars - classic.
Eugène-Samuel Grasset (1841-1917),

oil on canvas, cira late 1800s |
Above is the painting of which I don't know the name or the artist. Regardless, I think it's a cool painting. Can you imagine being in a hot air balloon in that kind of weather? And at night? That'd be quite the voyage.
