I really like cycling around Paris (whether on my bike or a velib' bike) and sometimes the lighting and/or weather create great scenes. Here are a few shots of the tour Eiffel and Les Invalides...
There are a thousand shots of the tower and probably just as many with this angle, but sometimes it just reminds you that it's quite an impressive structure. Also, you can see some of the 72 names on the tower. They are in the band of solid metal - just above the base legs.
I thought the sky was terrific in the picture on the left.
On the right, I purposely made it a negative to highlight the airliner - good timing.
At this angle I thought the tower almost looked like a corporate building.
Not the most impressive picture of les Invalides, but I liked the lighting this day.
