D-Day Memorial Jump : 2015-06

I purchased tandem jumps for Ashley 's birthday. We didn't jump on the actual day, but we did jump on D-Day (06 June) - so that was a great way to memorialize the day! I had brought up the subject of jumping and found out she'd done it once before, but it had been awhile. I'd never jumped and regardless of her previous jump, it was our first time together. It was a complete surprise so as we approached the airport, I figured she'd think we were going flying or jumping. There were so many signs for jumping, the thought of flying was short-lived. But it was still a great surprise.

We jumped with Royal Gorge Skydive which I found via Groupon. I just so happen to be one of the pics on their homepage. They were very welcoming and had their act together, but the video we watch as a disclaimer was rather bizarre. Bizarre but funny.

Strapped up and ready to go!  Penciled in Load 5 on the grease board schedule.

I think I laughed until we were under the chute.

The full crew (tandem jumpers are on our respective sides) and me giving a high-five.

Ashley in her exit flip and fly mode.

Ashley also giving a high-five and as happy as can be.

If you haven't jumped, I totally recommend it! And, by the way, I see how addictive skydiving can be! The sensation(s) are amazing, the rush is 100% and the scenery is fantastic.
