We took a great trip to Frisco to piggy back on a previously planned trip of my brother, his family and our parents. It was a great trip and the weather was about as perfect as you can get. I've skied Summit County many times, but I don't think I'd ever spent much time in Frisco proper. It was very nice. Another first was Bella's first bike ride. And, of course, Ashley made the trip a fantastic memory for me.
One of the first things we did was let BellaBear hang with my parents, Marco and Jody while we did some extreme downhill mountain biking. It was awesome. The bikes had low seats which took me awhile to get used to, but once I did, it felt very natural, and they were awesome bikes! They also provided good padding - helmet, shin and elbows.
Ashley and me looking into the future - of our bike ride and us. You can see the ski runs in the background and you can also see how pretty my biking buddy is.
As mentioned, the biking was extreme in some ways. I was close to wiping out a couple of times and had one hair-raising stretch when I drove off the path. But I let the bike do its thing and it worked out. Ashley had a slightly different experience. She actually went over the handlebars once (OTB) and recovered impeccably, but her second spill was sideways and her poor hand took a beating.
The three of us before our first supper together with my family and me giving BellaBear some captaining techniques. She was better at it and loved the horn.
A panoramic of the Dillon Reservoir. You can see it was a beautiful day.
We even saw a bald eagle on one of the islands.
Our last family supper was a BBQ at a Keystone condo. I love how it gets nice and cool in the evenings - even in July. Here, I am looking to the future with my Mom and Pop.
Our bike ride on a immaculate day! And BellaBear's first tandem bike ride!
My baby is so pretty it's hard not to kiss her.
Hanging out in a park near the Dillon Reservoir. It was one of those days where you wanted some sun and some shade - perfect for lounging in the grass. I think I wanted the shade and Ashley wanted the sun. By the way, it's easier to make happy faces than serious faces. We're not that good a the serious face.
A couple of nice pics of my mom - one with some guy and one with a gorgeous girl.
