We went to a really BIG airshow...of remote control aircraft. I remembered my neighbor mentioned it and was almost 100% positive I had the right date. We searched on the web and we finally found it! It was the The Pikes Peak Remote Control Club (PPRCC) Scale Fly-In! The PPRCC has a cool airstrip about four miles east of Meadow Lake airport. It's actually a neat spot because you have an unrestricted view of the mountains.
As you can see, the PPRCC Flying Field is on the Colorado plains.
There was a lot to see and it was a pleasure to show Bella everything!
We actually were looking at some airplanes flying, but I'll admit there was some posing going on.
A great trio and a trio of a different kind.
Bella wondered why these little airplanes aren't flying. Momma happily explained.
They know which jet's the coolest!
Didn't get to see this one fly, but it looked good...and powerful!
Bella and a War Bird.
Two beautiful babies and a beautiful model.
Learning to fly...legs included.
This Supermarine Spitfire was most impressive.
Love how it looks to scale against the grass.
A classic - the Messerschmidt Me 262 in flight!
