A couple shots afforded completely by chance. I say by chance because if you don't look in the right spot and/or they don't move, you aren't going to see them. It makes me think about all the things we've walked right by.
This little guy was waiting for me by the door at work. Almost close enough the door could've hit him. Don't know why I looked down, but glad I did. Baby birds are awesome. So I considering this a baby Mockingbird. I showed someone and they immediately said no (because people like to say that - I'm guilty, too), but I looked them up and I'm sticking with it. The person who said no, described what a Mockingbird looks like (which I'm aware) and so it couldn't be a Mockingbird. But that's not really how baby feathers work. It's not really how baby humans work either. But this guy was perfectly patient. He let me get close enough for one shot, then took off.
This baby rabbit was in my backyard. I still don't know why I looked at this guy. Because his brother or sister moved, I saw another baby several feet away against a fence. But this guy...I just looked right at him and he was definitely not moving. Cool. He was also a good poser. I approached for the pic and he was very cooperative. I did apparently reach the "lower my ears" distance which is why they're down. That was a good indicator to take what I could get.
