The right sunset even makes That City more appealing..
This painting was a repurposed canvas from Goodwill. Nice size and at a surprisingly good price. I had to get it. My first application of white and black gave me the foundation and I went with it. I had been wanting to paint a somewhat obscured city for awhile so it worked out.
I went with a solid overcast sky and threw in some color for the sunset. If I'm honest, I think I like the yellowish sky the best. I was going to revert back to it, but a good critique told me she liked the final version of the sky. What could I do but keep it?
In its frame with the black accent and recess.
