We took a one-day trip to a winery in Dijon. It was a nice visit, but I'm gonna throw this out right now. I'm not a wine guy. I was gonna write wine snob, but I was trying to be nice. For me, it's impossible to remember the names of all the regions, the sections, the banks of the rivers, the vignobles. It's just kinda beyond my concern and my capabilities, but I am always impressed with those who can, and I have friends who can!
All that being said, we took a trip to a winery near Dijon, in the Bourgogne region. It was a nice outing and I bough some wine. The winery, Domaine Bertagna, was very welcoming and had a very cool building. Here is the entry...

Above is an old press. I though it was a great display piece and reminder that almost everything changes - even how we get juice from grapes. And wood can last an incredibly long time. God gave us plants that produce oxygen (with sun!), are free, provide shade, are beautiful and provide wood. Awesome!
After the winery, we went to a cheese factory, Fromagerie Gaugry, where we had a little cheese tasting. As a result, I discovered some new favorite fromages!
Two new favorite cheeses; L’Ami Du Chambertin and Le Soumaintrain! Le soumaintrain is delicious. Because they're not Parisian, they're not so easy to find in Paris.
It was a good, tasty trip.
