I took a nice bike ride a couple days after SILF ended and stopped by Place Saint Michel on the way out to l'Île de la Cité.
The Fontaine Saint-Michel with archangel Michel and the devil. When I was there, there was also a rather large dog jumping around in the fountain. I thought it a little annoying mainly because it reminded me of all the dog poop on Parisian streets. Funny how the capital of all things chic (their option) has dog doo-doo all over (not opinion, reality).
After, riding around Ile de la Cité, I swung by Saint Sulpice on the way home. I had to get back to meet some ladies for supper. They had a place in mind so we met at Christian Constant's Les Cocottes, just next to Champ de Mars. As the name of the restaurant implies, their specialty is food cooked in cocottes (a casserole dish). I got the pavé de cabillaud, poêlée de légumes au bouillon thaï (cod with sautéed thaï style vegetables).
Now, I'm not a huge cod fan...it's good and très utile, but in general, it's usually average. However, this was the best cod I've ever had. I should've taken a picture. And, we had some great rosé wine! I did take a picture of the name. It was Cerdon rosé Renardat Fache (added to Drinks - Musket style). Delicious evening!
Here's a cocotte and a shot of the tower on the way home...
