I was able to take Ashley to Nebraska and we were able to meet the parents, see Annevar (annual carnival/fair), and partake in my high school reunion. It was pretty great timing and a fantastic trip. Since it's Nebraska, one of our first stops had to be in a corn field...
And of course we had to go shooting...
Ashley trying her aim with a .22 caliber pistol and on the right, her results. The target also includes 9 mm and a 12 gauge shotgun! She hadn't shot a shotgun and I would say she pretty much nailed the target. I was very proud of her - and the action shot turned out pretty well, too.
After shooting and watching the town parade, we went to Flashbacks (restaurant/bar) for our reunion.
I think Ashley looks great in any photo we take. Ann and Christine joined us for the second shot.
Myron and Greg with me trying to create a height illusion or something.
This is the dozen of us that showed for the reunion which is only about a third of the class,
but it was really awesome to see everyone! Back row working up the stairs; Myron, Andrea, Ann, Greg and Christine. Front row from left; Mike, Stacy, Sherry, Aaron, Kristy, Craig and Justin.
I love dragonflies and what a cool thing to find one just before we left! I've found dragonflies are actually quite easy to gently grab and tend to stay where you put them...at least for awhile. Allowed me to get some great pics!
Thank you to Ashley, my parents, and my high school class for making a short weekend a very memorable time in my life!
