Although I lived here four years prior, I'd never visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We finally made it at the end of June 2015. And it was as nice as everyone says. We had a great time. And then we had a great evening at home. Resulted in some great photos, too!
The walkways allow us to get face-to-face with the giraffes and BellaBear loves giraffes.
Bella is peaking into the giraffe area - and for some reason thought getting
as low as possible made the view better.
I had to post this...I think bees are amazing and I love how my camera can capture high detail.
The bees were busy that day - total summer day!
My beautiful baby in a look-at-the-camera candid. I love when these shots turn out.
This was a series of glamour shots with Bella and a peacock. It's fun when these capture
what you're trying to capture. I have to say I like the bottom one the best.
I thought I'd give the peacock some attention too. When I look at these colors, I cannot fathom the concept that there isn't a Creator. We could never make things like this.
Had to post the falcon. As the mascot of my college, but also because they
emanate the idea of being in charge and totally in control.
Bella discovering the wonders of a soap dispenser.
Bella and her cousin in a classic candid.
After the zoo, we reconvened at my house for some outdoor time and grilling. These little baby birds were more than comfortable hanging out with us. When I caught these two, how could I not think of me and my baby?
And then the three of us? How perfect is that?!
Had to post these, too. Simply because they posed so well. And were so calm.
Bella even took a call on her sponge phone. Had a pretty good conversation, too!
