Finally. Received my ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) on 10 December 2018 which was an absolutely perfect day. There is some irony in the fact that the weather was perfect. It was my second attempt as the first attempt was scrapped for weather and even the second attempt was moved a day for weather. In the end it worked out. I did it out of Dallas Forth Worth, and more specifically, Fort Worth Alliance (KAFW). Great airfield with two parallel runways - one at 11000'.
My temp certificate and the rather distinct KAFW tower.
The check ride bird, N99JC, a Beechcraft Baron BE-55. I'd flown a Baron before
but that was a BE-58 which is what I would consider the 'classic' Baron.
I thought this was cool. This guy (above, left) was on hotel window after the checkout flight (we flew once the day before to get familiar with the airplane). And after the check ride I was packing my bag to go to the airport when I saw the ladybug sitting on my bumper. Kind of after-the-fact, but pretty neat. I was happy. Ladybugs make people happy. If you want information on the DPE, let me know.
