I flew for a whole three months before I received this letter - my official notification of getting furloughed. I have to say, only flying for three months diminishes the pain. I'm fully committed to United, but having only flown three months a furlough seems much less destructive than if I'd been flying with them for years. And that's where my heart goes out to those who have always have goal of flying with United. I look forward to going back, but at the same time, I'm not totally relying on United. That's a blessing in itself. Furthermore, general aviation has been a side blessing. I've flown GA almost every day since Easter 2020 (my last United flight) and it's been great.
