Kimberly and I had a ticket to get our own Christmas tree - just took a little saw action and it was ours. That is, of course, after finding the 'perfect' one - which can be the biggest challenge. We were with some of her family so several people had to find the right one. Amazingly, we all found our gems in about the same time and the sun was still up!
Here we are before we fell our favorite tree. Great weather! Kimberly gave me that shirt.
After tree hunting we had a great lunch at Zoka's Restaurant and Bar. Just a few blocks away is The Pine Emporium. It was on our way back and Kimberly had seen it before so we had to stop. This is a house that is full (and I mean full) of...you name it. It was fun to walk through. I'm pretty sure I still didn't see all of the stuff. We were thinking of buying some hats. Kimberly gave me that shirt, too.
More kitsch - more than you can shake a stick at - but "Hogs and Kisses" received special attention due to the recency of Maple and Hickory. And our faces joining the dozens of other faces. The flyer hiding part of my face was a great vindication of a name I chose for another gnome (separate story).
The tree in all its glory. I think - probably always will - that solid colors are the way to go.
