I was working on ideas for paintings for a gallery show that need to be completed in 60 strokes. Birds can be rather fluid so I started with this bird. It's hard enough to get even the background complete when you're limited to sixty strokes. I learned some things from this painting, but gave up on the 60 mark and just painted the bird in flight. I'm going to stick with the bird (for at least of of the paintings) but it won't look like this.

I had the original for about a month but only painted on it for about eight days.
I made a frame out of old barn wood from Nebraska.
