I bought a frame and originally planned on cutting some Masonite to fit. However, I thought I'd just flip the board around and see what I came up with. It's rather thin and had a couple pinholes but it holds paint just fine. I started with abstract, went to a landscape, but as it wasn't striking any cords, I added a predominate figure. Similar to Burden, I wanted to load him down - maybe showing perseverance, the worries of life, or the weight of stress. Whatever resonates with the viewer. Also like Burden, I was going to add even more baggage dragging behind him. However, I thought the load was sufficiently portrayed. I named the frame Blue Crest but since the burden bearer is dressed in blue and coming over a crest, I stuck with it.

The mat covered too much so it was not included.
