Oblique

This was painted for the sake of painting a cloud in good contrast. I added the moon because the moon is amazing. I originally had the moon in a non-full phase (as you can see below) but something about it didn't really sit right. I painted over a piece of wall art which I first called "shards" but didn't think that was a good match. Acute crossed my mind, but I eventually ended on Oblique. The shards certainly have slant and it sounded more dynamic. Part of me wanted to keep the physical history of the wall art by leaving some of it peaking through. You can see what I'm talking about in the second stage shot below. I really wanted full contrast so I added more blue.

There is no frame currently holding Oblique since it has a 1.5 inch wrap.
I continued the blue so it is arguably a gallery or museum wrap.
