Steppe
09 October 2026
Acrylic on canvas
20 x 16 inches (50.8 x 40.6 cm)
I painted this for a call-for-art entitled Hope Springs Eternal. It was the same call as in Glaze. I liked the burst shape in the center but was waffling with the sky and terrain. I was running out of time for the deadline so I kept it simple. It wasn't selected.
This is the frame currently holding Steppe - I made it with Radiata or Monterey pine.
