La Basilique du Sacré Coeur (or at Wiki) de Montmartre sits on a hill in northern, central Paris. It's quite the landmark as the stone is rather bright and the church sits above much of the city.
Yes, there are many churches in Paris, France and Europe, but they all seem to have something unique. At Sacré Coeur, the thing that stood out the most for me was its location. It takes some effort to get there and the view is impressive.
Another thing I found interesting is the tireless spirit of creativity. There were people there selling cold beers.  Not in the church, of course, but directly in front.  It's pretty clever since people can get quite warm after the dozens of steps.
On the note of the steps, there are two trams that you can take (for a price) if you'd rather not walk the steps.
