I found a table at Goodwill which I thought would be perfect to hold some plants. This was a pretty cool piece in that it was solid wood and, other than the mortise and tenon joints on the legs, you can completely disassemble it.
Still trying to remember the "before" pictures, but at least I took a pic of the original finish. Nothing technically 'wrong' with it (especially if you like the color) but as many finishes, it was hiding the actual wood.
I like when you can see the wood. And it better matches the room.
