K and I flew back to NE to see my aunt who was back for her 70th high school reunion! That is impressive, but so is she. She's doing very well for her age. We had a great lunch near the airport and had perfect weather.
Of course we got to see Mom and Pop which is always great.
Departing NE (left) is pretty indicative of the weather we had on arrival. It was a little bit different on the return. It was enough weather to make us stop, get some more fuel and let the weather move on. It was a great flight and trip.
My yard has poppies and peonies which surprise me every year. You can cut them down to essentially nothing and they just keep coming back! And they're huge. KC loves them and makes nice arrangements. Most things she makes are nice.
We went hiking and look at this day. Not much else to say.
Great pictures of K but not so flattering on my end. I'm not much of a hat wearer so I think this hat was riding a bit high. It blocked the sun and made for some entertaining shots. K knows how to wear a hat!

I was able to get back to Leadville after almost a year - almost to the day. And I was even able to take Sweet Pea no less. It was a bit warm, but a great mountain flight and learning experience.
On Independence Day we found our own little spot to watch the fireworks. We could see about three different shows. K had a few fireworks that we lit off. The sky was beautiful and our cameras did a pretty nice job capturing the clouds. We had a great day together!
As a side note, we also won trivia (finally) at Olive Garden! Proof...
