We found a pretty simple, but elegant frame which contained a floral print (shown below). It is a somewhat unusual shape, but those unusual shapes can help create cool perspectives. I wanted to make a non-blue sky with some clouds far on the horizon. Initially, I thought a sunflower would take center stage, but thought a thistle would be a bit more intriguing. They're also fun to paint and a bit more uncommon in artwork.
A gif showing the progress - it sat for about seven days, but the painting was over two days.
