Collar

I wanted to make an abstract painting and wanted to use a light blue against a black canvas. I knew the contrast would be strong but was curious what the final impact would be. I thought about adding some white highlights, but didn't really want the red, white and blue look. The title was going to be Antenna but it looked more like a branching of a tree - which can also be called a collar.
his is the frame currently holding Collar - I made it with Radiata or Monterey pine.
This one has black added to the rabbet which makes a nice transition from the black canvas.
