Inspired by my wild flower.

This was the third piece for a call for art with a maximum size of 25 square inches. It accompanied Purple Rew and Chief Goliath. This was painted on a board on a board. The back board serves as the matting. The frame and/or matting aren't considered in the size restriction. I was considering painting the mat, but I thought the black looked too good. It really helped the flowers pop. If I had some black velvet, that would've looked good, too.

The reverse mat also solves the problem of hiding edges of the painting.
